These answers come up so often that we keep them near the door of the workshop.
A first engagement usually runs from the first letter to the first settled pillar in two to three weeks. The timing depends on the number of pour note runs and on whether a scent review round is needed before the full run. We agree the schedule on the first wick sheet, and the bench record shows any change along the way.
Yes. A workshop sitting is the way to visit. You book a time, stand at the bench while a batch is poured and leave with a signed sitting sheet that records what was asked and what was promised. Sittings are held inside business hours and inside the melt window, so the bench is warm and the light is steady when you arrive.
Tell us the season you are aiming for, the number of batches you expect to pour and any scent you already have in mind. If you have a previous batch that worked well, mention its pour note. The more of that record we have, the faster we can draft a wick sheet that fits your bench and the fewer surprises the first pour will bring.
